Yakiniku Like: Affordable Japanese BBQ in Central London
If you’re craving a sizzling Japanese BBQ experience without the hefty price tag, Yakiniku Like in Soho might just be your next food fix. Tucked away on Greek Street, this spot brings the popular Japanese solo BBQ concept to London and it’s both affordable and fun. Whether you’re dining solo or with a friend, it’s the perfect place to grill up a tasty meal.

Experience
Walking into Yakiniku Like, you’re greeted by clean, modern interiors and the satisfying smell of grilled meat in the air. The restaurant is divided into cute little sections, each equipped with your own personal grill, ideal for those who want their food hot off the flames, just the way they like it.
Ordering is super easy too: everything’s done via a QR code on your phone, keeping things speedy and convenient. Just keep in mind, there’s a 50-minute time limit on your table, so it’s more of a quick eat-and-go kind of spot rather than a lingering meal.
Food
We went for one of their set meals priced at just £22, and honestly? What a steal. The set included three types of marinated meat, steamed rice, miso soup, and a portion of vegetables. More than enough for one hungry person.

The meats were juicy, tender and packed with flavour, especially after a quick char on the grill. You’ve also got access to a range of dipping sauces right at your table, so you can mix and match flavours as you go.
Price and Final Thoughts
For central London, Yakiniku Like offers amazing value. Most meals fall between £15 and £25, depending on what you order. Our £22 set felt generous and filling, and it’s nice to walk away from a Japanese BBQ meal without feeling like your wallet’s been scorched too.
The only downside is they don’t take bookings, it’s walk-ins only so be prepared to queue during peak times. But once you’re seated, the experience is seamless and fun.
If you’re after affordable Japanese BBQ that hits the spot and is affordable, Yakiniku Like is definitely worth checking out. Fast, flavourful, and friendly to your budget, it’s a great option for Japanese BBQ lovers or anyone looking to try something new on their night out in Soho.
