Hotpot with Wagyu Barbie at Spice World

Spiceworld is located in Chinatown, Sydney CBD close to Central Station. They are known for their Wagyu Barbie, robot waiters and cute Hello Kitty and puppy soup bases.

Food:
Spice Worldโ€™s Wagyu Barbie has definitely made this place stand out from the rest of the other hotpot places in Sydney. Not to mention their cute hello kitty or dog soup bases. There is a large variety of hotpot ingredients to choose from vegetables, fish roe balls, noodles to meat. They serve quality meat making it so soft to eat which is the best when you cook wagyu fresh from the soup base. They also have a sauce station so you can pick out your own sauce combination as well as some side dishes like peanuts and noodles.

If you choose the traditional spicy broths, you must get the Chinese herbal can drink. Once you drink it, your tastes buds calm down from the spice and it allows you to eat more!

Interior:
The design of the restaurant is beautiful. I love the traditional style of the lights of the lanterns. There is a table on the side with drawers filled with spare chopsticks, spoons and tissues if you require more.

Customer Service:
When we were greeted at our table, the waiter explained the process of ordering and recommendations. They were super friendly and nice. They even offered us bibs and hair bands to enjoy the hotpot experience without making a mess. Youโ€™d need to mark off which dishes you want on a piece of paper and then theyโ€™ll serve it out to you.

Wait time for food:
The soup base arrived within 10 minutes once we ordered and the other dishes followed after within the next 5 minutes.

Booking system:
Youโ€™ll need to call them to make a reservation
