Is EveryPlate worth it? Here’s my review.

Deciding and planning what to eat every night, on top of buying the ingredients can take up a lot of time. So I thought about trying EveryPlate. EveryPlate provides affordable, simple, and easy meals that deliver straight to your doorstep.

The process of signing up was pretty easy. You have the option to choose the meals based on the number of people (for serving size) and how many recipes per week you’d like to choose. It was pretty good, you can select 6 meals and a serving size of two people for less than $50. The total cost was about $47.07 and split that between two people, that’s about $23 per person. Split this into per meal, per person, that’s about $3.92 for dinner. That is honestly so cheap for dinner.

After you select your plan, register, and pay for the recipes/meals, this is when you get to select your meals. The meals range from Asian to middle eastern food and the recipes are easy to follow.

For delivery, you have a couple of options to choose when you want it delivered, either on the weekend or Monday. I chose Monday since I was usually home on this day to receive the delivery.

What meals did I choose?

– Middle Eastern Haloumi Tacos
– Persian Beef & Carrot Couscous
– Middle Eastern Spiced Beef Pie
– Golden Haloumi Burger
– Sweet & Sticky Chicken Stir Fry
– Honey Glazed Persian Beef Koftas

What was my experience?

The whole process from ordering to cooking the food was seamless and really easy. In the box with the ingredients, you also receive the recipe cards so you have a physical and a digital copy (online in your account as well). I enjoyed each of the meals and they were super tasty. I even had leftovers for the next day for lunch so meal prep is done. This would be a good idea if you wanted to meal prep your lunch for the week so saves you time from thinking what to eat for lunch as well.

I had a few meals with couscous in it and I think I enjoyed eating this more now. It’s a positive since it contains more protein and it’s a good source of fiber compared to rice. Out of the meals I selected, the ones with couscous were my favourites.

Pricing options?

Prices start from $57.99 AUD (servings of two for 3 meals per week) and this includes shipping.

Pros of EveryPlate

There were a lot more pros than cons in my opinion. Here’s my list of the positives.

– Affordable meals
– Save time on grocery shopping
– The recipes were super easy to follow
– All the ingredients are delivered straight to your door
– Variety of meal options – even have vegetarian options
– Receive recipe cards so you can make it again for next time
– App to even check regularly update your menu for the next week
– Receive the amount specifically for the dish portions (sometimes you even have leftovers)

Cons of EveryPlate

I honestly didn’t have any issues with EveryPlate apart from just having a lot of food and trying to finish my six meals before the next week starts but that’s not really a con.

Also, you have to keep in mind that you have to pay a flat rate of $8.99 for every delivery. I would say this is pretty normal for most companies now.

My Final Thoughts on EveryPlate

Overall, if you’re looking to spice up your dinner meals without grocery shopping and easy ideas to cook, I’d definitely recommend EveryPlate. Before choosing to try EveryPlate, I was kind of lost for ideas on what to make for dinner and I kept having the same meal every week. EveryPlate provided me with meal options based on their menu and because there were already options there, I didn’t need to think too much so it made the thought process of what to eat so much easier.

This would be perfect for anyone on a tight budget. EveryPlate is affordable, very easy to use, and time and food plan efficient.
