We arrived around 5:30 pm and were lucky enough to get a table immediately. The energy of the place builds as the evening goes on by sunset, every seat is full. The tables line the narrow street, making you feel like you’re dining in the heart of Ostuni’s old town.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, with music playing, people laughing, and glasses clinking. It’s not just a place to eat, it’s an experience of southern Italian evenings.
Food
Borgo Antico Bistrot is best known for its massive antipasto boards, which are easily large enough to share between 3–4 people even though there was only two of us, we struggled to finish it all.
- FORMAGGI FRESCHI E STAGIONATI (€25) – A generous mix of local fresh and aged cheeses, served with honey and fresh tomatoes. The ricotta with honey was an absolute standout, it was creamy, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The prosciutto was thinly sliced and perfectly light.
- Complimentary Bread – Served in a bag, a rustic touch to start your meal.
- Smoothies (€8 each) – The Mango, pineapple, and peach smoothie was refreshing, smooth, and perfect on a hot afternoon.
- SPRITZ ANALCOLICO (€8) – A non-alcoholic twist with orange juice, bitter soda, and sparkling water that is refreshing with just the right hint of sweetness.
Everything felt fresh, generous, and perfect for sharing while you enjoy the view.
Price
The price range here is €10–20 per person, which is slightly on the pricier side for Ostuni. That said, the portions are large, and the atmosphere makes it worth it, especially if you’re coming for drinks and sunset rather than a full dinner.
